Studio Art Therapy

ART MAKING & REFLECTION
Art making and Reflection is for everyone who wants to keep their creative juices flowing; for practising artists, therapists, art educators and the general public. It aims to be an inclusive, participatory group that encourages each individual to create art and use their imagination to tell their stories, past and present. One of the Arts Therapy NZ Trust’s adult programmes, Art Making and Reflection gives participants the chance to paint, draw, collage, sculpt and much more. Try new techniques and reconnect with your creative side.
What’s offered?
This programme is based on a Studio Art Therapy approach in which the art-making process can reveal insights and greater awareness of life issues and emerging personal themes. Experienced, registered arts therapists are present in the group creating their own art and offering technical advice and guidance. Assistance in the processing of emotional material is offered if required. All levels of experience are welcome and the group is open to all ages and abilities.
