A Creative Arts Therapy Workshop
An opportunity to find your Soul’s Palette

“Artistic creativity offers a source of inner wisdom that can provide guidance, sooth emotional pain and revitalize your being”. Cathy A. Machioldi

This workshop will offer you a safe space to explore your inner world of thoughts, emotions and beliefs through creativity. Arts therapy offers a hands-on, active, fun, and productive form of therapy. Everyone can be creative! Based on the model of integrative therapies and catering to all abilities, this workshop will utilize all the modalities; visual arts, poetry, movement and music.  PAST WORKSHOPS 2011

Authentic Movement

Throughout our lives we long to be seen in our wholeness. Daniel Seigel suggests “…not just want to be seen we want to feel felt.”

Authentic Movement is an opportunity to move in the presence of a non-judgmental witness.  The mover with eyes closed follows their own inner impulses.  The witness contains their own internal processes as the mover moves.  Art, journaling and dialoguing with the witness deepens the process.

In this workshop we will explore a developmental process with all participants moving first.  Triad and dyadic forms follow as the witness role is learned. The ‘long circle’ is a culmination of the process, illustrating how the form becomes fluid and organic while holding a wide range of experiences.
